Not very ADA friendly. There are NO ADA studios (which was not mentioned when we booked - or the multiple times we called/were called to confirm/deal with another booking issue). The front desk employees were amazing and spent over 4 hours trying to reach the marketing department so the booking could be altered to an ADA unit. After ZERO response from marketing the wonderful front desk manager upgraded us to an ADA 1 bedroom, which luckily had become available due to the booked in family canceling last minute. The ADA 1 bedroom was nice enough. Plenty of room for my wheelchair. The shower bench was a bit wonky and detaching from the wall. The bed was low and easy to get in and out of. My husband had to do all of the cooking/cleaning in the kitchen since it was not ADA friendly. The door to the room is heavy and someone in a wheelchair needs someone else to open/hold for them. After heavy rain the only sidewalk, on the activities side, became too muddy for my wheelchair & with the slope I almost wiped out. (And my dress was destroyed) The front desk did send someone from the cleaning crew to help clean the mud off my wheelchair & they quicky sent multiple maintenance staff to clear the sidewalk. The experience was difficult and left a rather bad feeling for me. As wonderful as the cleaner was it was rather embarrassing to have to sit there while she cleaned me and my chair. There is no ADA access to many of the resort attractions, such as the kids play area and mini golf. Many of the other areas require wheelchair users to use LONG paths that wind around to get to the attractions. Some of those paths have uneven pavement which make it challenging to navigate. Also, I often saw maintenance staff park in the handicap spots. The main pool was very strong smelling but the lazy river was really nice. The ADA lifts/chairs were either difficult to get to or children were often climbing on them/using them as toys. There were zero pool/lazy river staff to help with that situation so I was unable to enjoy the water myself. As a wheelchair user I dont think I am willing to go back. As nice as the property is it was very clear that ADA accessibility was NOT thought about. I was left on the sidelines while my husband took our kiddos to the different "perks" of the resort due to NO wheelchair/ADA accessibility. It was rather heartbreaking/frustrating since we were there to celebrate our daughters 10th birthday. The staff is 5 star though. They were AMAZING!!

Avoid. Deceptive booking practices. Zero customer service. Restaurant running out of food throughout stay. Overpriced food and drinks. Manager would not return my calls. Pools waters not clean. No security on grounds so cars are exposed to vandalism. A terrible experience and no one will even call me back to work with me.

It’s my first night here. This place exceeded my expectations. It’s very clean. I like how orderly and clean it is. I forgot to get cash to tip room service so I’ll go back out to get some. This place is a hidden gem. The lazy river was heated and nice water temps were great. Would have liked a little more heat in the hot tub. Overall…. A hidden gem. All employees at the pool were so kind and patient. I can’t believe how nice the Staff has been considering they are younger. I’m happy.

I was excited to love this place given the beautiful setting and comfortable villas, but my experience fell far short. Many amenities were under maintenance or not functioning properly, and the front desk was unhelpful and unresponsive. Basic issues like water heater reliability were ongoing, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable stay. As someone paying annual fees, I expected better service and amenities.

Our stay here was incredible; everything is wonderful—the pools, the Jacuzzis, the surrounding nature, and the service. The young women at the entrance were very friendly, as were the pool staff, and the housekeeping team was very attentive to our needs—especially Mr. Raúl, who was so kind! I would come back again and again! Highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Hyatt Vacation Club Wild Oak Ranch. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The website and photos definitely set high expectations. It is a beautiful resort but there was quite a bit of maintenance happening during our stay. The elevator in our building was out of service when we arrived. Carrying little ones and luggage up the stairs was doable but very inconvenient. It was supposedly working the next day but we still could not get it to go from the second floor to the first floor so we ended up using the stairs the entire stay. They were also doing maintenance near the indoor slide so we chose to sit outside to avoid the noise and mess. We arrived about 30 minutes before check in. The staff gave us towel passes so we could enjoy the pool while we waited for our room which we appreciated. We decided to eat at the restaurant across the street. Expect to pay premium prices for average food. The service was painfully slow although they did make really good virgin piña coladas. There were only two tables occupied including ours. We waited about 20 minutes before finally walking up to the bar to ask if someone could take our order. There were two employees working so we were not sure what caused the delay. We are a family of four. When we finally got to our room that evening we realized there were only two washcloths. I tried calling the front desk but the room phone was not working. Thankfully we received a text asking if we needed anything. I requested more washcloths and they delivered them quickly. The water pressure in the shower was very low and the water never got very hot which made showering less enjoyable. On our second day we spent the day at SeaWorld. When we returned our trash had not been emptied. We called to request fresh towels washcloths and trash service. We were told that if we wanted the trash removed we needed to place it outside our room. That was not a problem at all but it would have been helpful to know that information at check in. Overall we had an okay stay. The grounds are beautiful and the pools were enjoyable but several maintenance issues and small inconveniences kept the experience from living up to the expectations created by the website and photos.

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. We had been here once before a couple of years ago so knew what to expect. As some prior reviews have noted, it is a bit more like staying at a condo community than a 5 star resort but that is actually what I love about it. Maid Service comes every other day but the front desk is on call for what you may need, such as extra blankets etc. The service was on point and all of the staff were very friendly. It was not overly crowded. We got an amazing deal as Hyatt Hotel members (but no we are not Hyatt Club Vacation owners) and they even let us skip the Vacation Club presentation as we had done it once before, and gave us extra Hyatt points! We had an incredible view from the front deck of a fireworks show the night we arrived, I think it was being put on by Sea World which is very close by. The pools and lazy river were amazing and not overly crowded. Pool Service was great and the food at JB's Restaurant was very good. Yes it's the only restaurant on site but if you want more options you can go to the nearby Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa 5 minutes away which is what we did for one of our meals one night. Our room was a bit cramped for 2 adults and 2 teens which is the only reason I docked one star, but they gave us such a great rate for a holiday weekend I could hardly complain.
